We were ridiculously excited to hear that paint and colour experts Farrow & Ball were introducing 9 new colours earlier this year, and even more excited to sneak a preview of the shades.

Renowned for their excellency in rich pigments, soft chalky finishes and the finest of ingredients, Farrow & Ball’s signature shades have an undeniable influence on the interiors world. They are also a firm favourite with our customers, who often choose them in combination with their Harvey Maria flooring. Seeing these new colours has got us hooked on teaming paints with different floor designs, creating beautiful harmonies that would work in both traditional and contemporary spaces.

From calm and neutral to bold and decorative, there are so many different styles to choose from and so many ways to design an interior that’s perfect for you. Taking inspiration from Farrow & Ball’s gorgeous new collection, we’ve put together three of our favourite combinations to get you started!

No. 286 ‘Peignoir’ with Lattice in Pebble Greypeignoir-pebble-grey

This grey-toned blush pink is wonderfully subtle, with the ability to feel traditional and modern at the same time. The romantic shade perfectly complements the hand-painted aesthetic of the Lattice collection, and the pure tones of Pebble Grey keep the palette soft and organic.

No. 289 ‘Inchyra Blue’ with Little Bricks in Steelinchyra-blue-steel

Taking its name from the classic Georgian Inchyra House set against moody Scottish skies, this aged blue-grey seems to change in tone depending on the light. The perfect alternative to classic charcoal grey, it adds a contemporary edge to the light, clean tone of Little Bricks Steel.

No. 285 ‘Cromarty’ with Parquet in Eggshellcromarty-eggshell

Inspired by sea mist and named after the Cromarty First estuary, this neutral yet atmospheric shade beautifully blends pigments of green and grey. Its coastal tones pair perfectly with the soft blue-green of Eggshell, with its off-white background adding balance to the palette.
