Whether you are looking to renovate your home or refresh the style of your commercial space, flooring is a great way to set the tone of your project. In today’s blog we’ll be looking at how Hove’s top brunch restaurant Jo&Co (Tripadvisor) used our patterned floor tile designs to create an uplifting, contemporary space to welcome their many happy customers!

Bordering with statement pattern

As you enter the restaurant, our Dovetail Oxford Blue tiles, designed in collaboration with celebrated designer Neisha Crosland, have been used to border the area around the large bar space creating a welcoming feel that reflects the upbeat atmosphere. The bar itself mirrors the deep blue colour of Oxford Blue and as a high-footfall area, a durable and easy to clean floor is vital. All of our flooring is designed to last and can be easily maintained using our FloorSpa kits, so they will continue to look beautiful for years to come.

A vibrant colour palette

As you move towards the back of the restaurant, the colour scheme develops into yellow tones that bring out the colours of the statement wallpaper. Statement walls are a great way to create an eye-catching space that is both memorable and helps to define the atmosphere for the room. You can read more about how to style statement interiors in last week’s blog post here.

Detailed decor

At the back of the restaurant, the high ceilings have been showcased through rattan hanging lampshades and parrot sculptures that link to the travel theme behind the restaurant’s story. The eclectic feel of the decor lends itself to current interior trends as well as reflecting their location in the vibrant city of Brighton & Hove.

An open kitchen provides a social atmosphere, highlighted through the use of our Parquet Mimosa tiles which tie in with the soft yellow colour palette. They have uniquely used them across the lower wall of the kitchen which contrasts the beautiful green tones of the palm print wallpaper that leads the eye upstairs towards the yellow neon sign on the balcony space.

Upstairs, statement velvet armchairs bring a pop of colour to the chequerboard floor tiles that provide the on-trend touch of monochrome. This creates a memorable experience for customers that is both inviting and fun.

Multifunctional spaces

We love the use of borders and zoning throughout the restaurant which is perfect for all kinds of dining, from formal dinners to weekend brunches or coffee meetings with colleagues.
