Technical Information
Patterns
- Matching patterns continue from tile to tile, although the exact position of the pattern within each tile will vary.
- Random patterns can be laid in any direction and are not designed to match from tile to tile, although smaller patterns may appear to match across tiles.
Use our pack calculator to work out how much you need.
Each pack contains 1 (m2). Allow at least 5% for wastage.
Acclimatise the flooring by placing packs flat in the room where they are to be fitted for 48 hours prior to fitting with room temperature set between 18℃ to 27℃. This temperature should be maintained throughout fitting and for 72 hours after while the adhesive cures, meaning that sudden and/or big changes in temperature, even within the parameters, must be avoided e.g. take measures to prevent drops in overnight temperatures and shade the floor from sunlight. The subfloor (plywood/ screed) should be completely flat, smooth, clean and dry (moisture levels must be within acceptable parameters). Work out the laying plan in advance and lay the tiles into the adhesive according to instructions following the directional arrows and roll the surface to ensure full contact with the adhesive. At the edge of the room, cut the tiles using a sharp knife. A trained fitter will ensure best results. Always follow the full fitting & care guidance (links below).
Additional advice for this collection - These tactile tiles were originally designed for commercial/ industrial use, meaning the finish is more rugged and less refined than with our LVT floors. Although they are durable and hard-wearing, the soft surface naturally has less resistance to marking and fading than harder surfaces, so it’s important to follow the care advice throughout the life of the floor (link below) to avoid surface damage.
