Five ways to bring Spring into your home

Spring is on the horizon, a time of year we always look forward to as it signifies new beginnings and inspires us to refresh our interior spaces. This past year has really stripped back a lot of our daily lives, giving us a real appreciation for the outdoors and our daily walks providing us with a sense of escapism. This shift towards connecting and being at one with nature has in turn been reflected in many interior trends this season.

Rich heritage colour pigments

Our LVT flooring collections are well known for their iconic patterns, as well as their versatile colour palettes curated to complement your own style. As we take time out to explore the world around us or dream of exploring new places, demand for the colours of the sea and woodland has increased, as well as for more natural textures and materials that bring us closer to nature. This is strongly reflected in our latest collections and iconic designs. Last year we launched the Pattern collection by Dee Hardwicke, a concept inspired by the beautiful natural surroundings of her home studio. The colour palette includes Larkspur, featured below; a deep blue with golden highlights that capture the essence of Morrocan tiles. It looks equally as beautiful in bathrooms and kitchens, creating a real calming aesthetic.

Check by Neisha Crosland is another designer collection that has recently been updated to reflect current trends and our love for deep blues. Check Blue is a contemporary design, bringing a fresh look that works brilliantly in modern kitchens or contrasted against natural textures. Style with wooden shelving, fresh lighting and contrast with green foliage for a timeless look that is easy to maintain.

Beautifully authentic parquet floors

We have also seen growth in customers opting for authentic wood effects, in particular parquet collections. These shorter planks laid in a herringbone pattern create a modern luxe feel to contemporary interiors, especially in kitchens and open plan spaces. Parquet boasts outstanding practicality without compromising on style, making it a popular choice that will meet the demands of modern-day homes; we love English Oak Parquet, featured below, in this rustic cottage living room setup.

Our collaborations with celebrated British designer Dee Hardwicke draw upon the beauty in simplicity, using geometric flower motifs to create stylish and versatile floors. Our first collection Lattice embodies the delicate petals of scattered flowers, a choice perfect for spring that brings this fresh and gentle aesthetic to your home year-round. The colour palette is a mix of soft neutrals and vibrant colourways, that can be used for a statement look or contrasted with a wood effect border; Lattice Seedpod is featured below.

Alongside Lattice, the new Pattern collection by Dee Hardwicke is again a floral-inspired motif, drawing inspiration from original hand-painted encaustic tile design emerging from the mid-19th century. Pattern creates a real casual, rustic warmth that is at home in both traditional and contemporary spaces. Style with bright whites to create a sense of space and light or bring rooms to life by contrasting dark panelling with Patterns deep colourways and versatile illustrations.

Experiment with texture

One key trend we have noticed all over our Instagram feeds is bringing in natural textures such as pampas grass, other dried flowers, jute rugs and neutral ceramics. These fresh and neutral styling features create a real boho aesthetic that is easy to create your own style with. Another way to add in texture is through flooring.

Whether it be our popular parquet woods with detailed grain textures or a more contemporary finish with our stone LVT collection to create a natural stone aesthetic. Choose from the gentle palette and add feature strips for a traditional flagstone appearance. This is a look that is perfect for bathrooms and looks great with indoor plants and alongside textiles; featured below is Nuance Duck Egg Blue which works wonderfully in this modern, warm kitchen.
