Creator Takeover – Finding the perfect floor for a Victorian seaside home
We’re excited to announce our first-ever Creator Takeover starting this week on our social feeds. Over the next few weeks, a number of talented influencers will be sharing some great inspiration just in time for your autumn renovations. This will include lots of styling ideas featuring our versatile flooring collections. We can’t wait to see their finished projects and share their inspiring renovation journeys with you! This week on the blog we will be putting the spotlight on our first creators - Fiona and Greg from the popular Instagram blog @seasidevictorianhome.

Fiona and Greg began their renovation journey in an elegant Victorian seaside cottage in Scotland, built in the 1890s. They share posts throughout the week on their Instagram feed, documenting their progress with renovating each room in the historic home in an authentic and characterful way. Their style and feed reflect the history of the property, as well as adding personal and unique touches to each room they renovate. The blend of contemporary and classic styles perfectly captures their interior scheme. When it came to choosing a floor, it was key that the design they chose would blend seamlessly with their existing modern yet classic look, therefore the perfect choice was our Dovetail collection.
The award-winning Dovetail collection, created in collaboration with celebrated designer Neisha Crosland, is influenced by heritage patterned tiles, whilst also being modern and geometric. The collection is available in a palette of seven contemporary colourways, from easy neutrals to trending blues, meaning there is a colour to suit most styles. Fiona and Greg opted for our Dovetail Lavastone colourway to create a gorgeous hallway, which blends well with the blue, grey and green tones of their property.
“I’d been desperate to get rid of the last orange laminate we had downstairs and replace it with something more fitting to the house’s heritage and this Dovetail range fits the bill perfectly! I had also worried that tiles would make the hall cold as it’s not the warmest of spaces, but as it’s LVT it’s much cosier underfoot. Overall it’s a big yes from me”
