Vicky has been sharing her Georgian house renovation journey with her thousands of followers on Instagram, showing details from decor ideas to her extension installation to the odd slice of delicious cake. The Grade II listed cottage has been transformed into a contemporary home that still has a welcoming family feel – preserving its personality is key to each renovation decision. The muted colour palette with pops of bold colour splashed encouraged Vicky’s other venture – seasonal and colourful wreath designing. Adding statement features such as wreaths or bold, patterned floor tiles, such as Dovetail Ink Black, can transform a room and really show your personality within the interior scheme.

The Dovetail collection, in collaboration with celebrated designer Neisha Crosland, features a geometric diamond motif and takes inspiration from traditional patterned tiles, enabling a modern yet heritage style that works in traditional and contemporary homes alike. Vicky’s choice of our Dovetail Ink Black luxury tiles adds a touch of monochrome elegance to her hallway and contrasts beautifully with her deep blue bathroom tiles. We love how the flooring contrasts with the original features of the property – the wooden beams and exposed brick archway are a nod to the history of the home and the renovation journey they have been on.

In Vicky’s own words: “I absolutely loved seeing our hallway come together. It used to be our old kitchen, plus a newly built section that we’ve incorporated, including the exposed brick archway. We knew we wanted something monochrome to be a real feature in-between our oak coloured flooring throughout the rest of the downstairs of the house. Dovetail fit that brief perfectly”

Not only are our designs easy to clean and care for, so they look great for years to come – perfect if you have two adorable dogs in the family as Vicky does! Our floors are also slip-resistant and its this durability that makes them suitable for busy areas of the home with high footfall such as hallways. The eclectic colour palette of the Dovetail collection allows you to create your own style for a timeless yet elegant look.
