Consider the needs of the space - busy family bathroom or tranquil retreat?

For many people, renovating a bathroom is a way of replacing outdated styles with their own personal taste, which not only needs to last for years to come but also has to be practical to their lifestyle. If you’re renovating the main family bathroom, clever use of space and practicality are top considerations as more is demanded of the area you have. However, this doesn’t mean you have to compromise on the overall look.

Our floors require little maintenance and the stylish look of our patterned LVT designs mean you can easily create your own style whilst still having practical aspects. If it’s a smaller bathroom you’re renovating, investing in key features like the flooring can add that added premium feel and create a cosy and relaxing retreat to escape busy everyday life. We especially love Dovetail Oxford Blue, pictured below, that adds dramatic flair to this modern bathroom.

Take inspiration from current trends

We love curating mood boards on Pinterest, or saving the latest reel from our favourite interiors influencers on Instagram to help build an idea of our favourite features of the current trends. This can be a fun and easy way to plan your project and help you to decide on the overall theme of your home.

If like us, you love elements of multiple trends then why not combine them? Checkerboard flooring is a trend that’s here to stay, as is monochrome interiors, so using a black and white checkerboard floor, as pictured below with Squares Stove Black and Squares Linen White, combines two trends in on space.

Make the most of smaller bathrooms

Large geometric patterns create a sense of space which lets you create a strong interior theme for even the most petite bathrooms. Laying tiles such as our Parquet collection, which is designed in collaboration with Neisha Crosland, draws the eye line across the room making it feel longer. In the image below, you can see how the stylish Parquet Charcoal tiles create a light and refreshing space in this contemporary bathroom. You can also opt for our ultra-realistic MSeries wood planks, which can be laid lengthways, again making the room again feel longer.

Add organic texture with waterproof authentic woods

Traditional real wood floors aren’t a practical option for bathrooms, so why compromise on the authentic style when you can opt for our range of authentic wood collections that have the look and feel of real woods. All our floors, including our authentic plank and herringbone collections, are waterproof and slip-resistant, making them a perfect choice for bathrooms. They are also easy to clean and care for, meaning you can enjoy a pristine bathroom and spend less time fretting over maintaining the flooring.

Our MSeries range features a highly detailed wood grain and if you’re looking for a touch of luxury and cosiness, go for underfloor heating which is suitable for use with our floors. We love the eclectic colour tones of all our wood collections, especially the light wash effect of Natural Plank Cove, pictured below, which is a perfect match with modern-rustic bathrooms.

Consider sustainability

Sustainability is becoming more and more important to us all. We are starting to choose products and materials that improve our indoor air quality and reduce energy consumption, pollution and waste and we are always looking at ways in which we can invest in products and production processes that are more sustainable.

When starting a bathroom renovation, durability is an important factor and by opting for more sustainable choices you can be assured that each stage of the manufacturing process is considered to create a more reliable product. We are really proud that the MSeries collection is recognised for its low impact on the environment in all aspects – production process, product consumption, emissions & indoor air quality and sustainable construction.
