The laidback styling, natural materials, and earthy tones of 70s interior design have found new life in 2023. Alongside luxurious and rustic interiors, the decor style this winter is relaxed, casual and cosy. It’s still all about warm neutrals – think shades of beige, taupe and linen. Terracotta and earth tones are here to stay, as well as the influx of retro colours inspired by the 70s style revival – mustard yellow, greens and browns.
If you’re looking for pattern inspiration then we can see that our classic chequerboard floors are still going strong. The trend refuses to budge and is forever being reimagined by mixing and matching different wall colours and layering with trending patterns and new decorating styles. Our heritage patterns such as Walbrook and Northmore, which take inspiration from Victorian encaustic floor tiles, create a warm and nostalgic feel and are incredibly practical too.
Bloomcore is a micro-trend which celebrates an aesthetic themed around flowers, gardens, nature and the outdoors. Our pretty collections from British designer Dee Hardwicke, encapsulate this trend perfectly. Both Lattice and Pattern are based on original floral illustrations created by Dee in her bucolic welsh studio. It seems that more is more with this trend and you can layer floral wallpapers, flooring and textiles which complement each other to create a casual, eclectic vibe.
